Information for schools
The Peak Centre offers a quality of community living that is hard to match. It is partly the design and furnishing of the buildings and partly the emphasis of staff involvement with the running of the residential, and partly the help and encouragement we offer. You have exclusive use of your part of the Centre if you are a small group and of the whole Centre is you are a large one. You are free to establish your own norms of behaviour without interference and to come and go when you wish.
You will have secondary goals such as experiencing our stunning
physical environment, trying new and challenging activities or the study of some particular aspect
of the curriculum. There are a whole host of spaces and resources
to help you do this.
If you want only a certain number of adventure activities
provided for you or indeed want none at all, it is your choice.
A growth area in schools usage is for residentials that focus particularly on spirituality - often called a "retreat". If you are interested, we can explain more.
To make the arranging of such a residential here simple and
foolproof, The Peak Centre now offers a complete fully catered
package, including optional activities plus unlimited free
places for staff/adults.
