The Peak Centre, Edale in the heart of Derbyshire's Peak District is looking for someone with a heart for ministry to young people with proven management skills.

You will have overall responsibility for the management and development of this unique Centre which provides a safe and inspirational faith-based Christian residential and activity facility used primarily by supervised church and school groups as part of their personal, social, faith and educational development.

You will manage and supervise Centre staff and volunteers and have responsibility for the Centre’s welcoming ethos, activities, infrastructure, marketing, finances, safety and the development of good relations with its user groups, local community and young people in the Diocese of Derby.

The post is open to lay or ordained applicants. The package includes accommodation, allowances and on-going training.

Start date: by negotiation, as soon as possible.

Last weekend we hosted the start of the Spine Race. A 268 mile race along the Pennine way starting in Edale.

Our cabin was officially opened by the Bishop of Derby in October and included a special ceremony with St Werburgh's primary school. The cabin has been called "The Fold" and is now available for use by groups staying at the centre.
