Protecting our customer privacy is very important to us. Our Privacy Policy gives an overview of the types of information we collect about you, how we collect it and use it, who we might share it with, the steps we take to make sure it stays private and secure and your rights to your information.

At The Peak Centre we take your privacy to be of the highest importance to us, and we will never release your personal details to any outside company for their mailing or marketing purposes. We will only use your personal information to administer your account, process your bookings and to provide the services you have requested from us.

Personal data we collect

The Peak Centre collects personal information in order to provide services to our customers. When you make an enquiry we collect name, email address and phone number, either from emails or from a telephone enquiry. We may also collect job title, addresses, demographic information such as post codes, preferences and interests, IP address and information about what pages are accessed and when.

How your personal information is used

We may use your information to:

  • Send you an email when you make an enquiry or booking
  • To support any contracts/bookings entered into by you and us
  • Process job applications
  • Notify you of changes to our services
  • Periodically send promotional emails about courses and offers or other information which we think you may find interesting
  • Seeking your views and comments on our service

Children under 18

We ask for consent forms for participation in our events and activities. Personal information collected on the consent form is required to meet our performance of contract and legitimate interests. Consent forms are archived in a secure location and retained as long as necessary to meet our legal requirements. This information is only used during the event and/or activities and deleted securely when no longer required.

If you provide information to us about children under 18 years old, then you confirm that you are the parent or carer, or have the consent of the parent or carer. Group leaders should obtain consent from the parent or carer to share participants’ information with us.

Data Retention

Where appropriate we retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to meet our legal obligations for reporting where these apply (for example, retaining financial records for up to seven years). When your information is no longer required we delete it securely.

Information kept for marketing purposes will be kept until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

Who has access to your information?

Peak centre office staff have access to this information. Instructors and leaders including those working on behalf of the Peak Centre have access to consent forms.

We do not sell or give your information to third parties.

Update your information

You may request details of the personal information that we hold about you, so that this may be reviewed and changed. We will provide you with this information within one month of receiving your request and verifying your identity. Security precautions in place to protect loss and misuse of information

All electronic data is stored on a secure computer. Non-sensitive data that is transferred over email cannot be guaranteed to be secure and this is done at your own risk. All paper based data is stored in a secure location.

Transferring information outside the EU

Our staff in the UK processes all personal data and no third parties have access to your personal data unless there is a legal obligation for us to provide them with this.

Information about young people

We welcome children and young people to our centre and web site, and we take extra care about handling information about young people. However, our booking process, including our events booking is intended for adults.

The Peak Centre may create links to third party websites. The Peak Centre is not responsible for the content or privacy practices employed by websites that are linked to our website.

Cookies

Cookies are tiny text files stored on your computer when you visit certain web pages. Our website does not use cookies, website statistics on visits are collected by our hosting supplier.
